There are following types of quizzes

  1. With required passing grade β€” a certain number of points or correct answers must be achieved

  2. Moderated β€” in this case, the moderator determines the results of the quiz

  3. Open-format quiz β€” regardless of the results, the quiz will be considered as passed

More about each option

The required passing grade by collected points

A course creator can configure a quiz to have a minimum passing score, and your performance will be evaluated based on the number of points or correct answers you earn.

Passed quiz by collected points

If you do not earn the necessary number of points, you will be able to retake it

Upon completion of a quiz, you may receive a message indicating that you have passed the quiz but with room for improvement. This means that while you have demonstrated a satisfactory level of understanding, there is still room to improve your performance.

The required passing score based on the correct answers

Passing the quiz is based on achieving a minimum number of correct answers, similar to how it is determined by the number of points collected. You must correctly answer a certain number of questions in order to pass the quiz.

Moderated quiz

Some quizzes are marked as passed or failed by the moderator. Typically, this type of quiz is encountered when the questions have answer choices that you must write yourself or record your own audio answer.

When you complete this type of quiz, you will see a screen that says that moderation of the answers is pending. You do not have to wait for the quiz results to continue learning.

Once the moderator has chosen a quiz result, you will see it in your lesson. The quiz can be passed or failed.

Open-format quiz

It is used for self-evaluation or feedback. In this type of quiz, you can be provided with the correct answers to the questions after completion of the quiz.
