How to Create a Cohort-Based Course

Cohort-based learning is an educational approach in which a group of learners moves through a course or series of courses together. Today, the term cohort-based learning often refers to online or hybrid courses with collaborative elements.

One course can be duplicated several times without losing content, and it can be taken by different groups of students.

Creating a cohort will be created also:

A new enrollment list

Offers in case you want to duplicate them

Product

The structure and content will remain the same. Content can be updated without affecting old students who are going through another version of this cohort.


How to create a cohort from existing course:

  1. Click Create new course in the course list

  2. In the popup, select the cohort option

  3. Specify the course you want to duplicate

  4. Courses are only displayed in the drop-down list if you have at least one course created

  5. Optional. You can select the linked offers to duplicate them also

  6. Set the cohort suffix

  7. Click the Continue button

  8. In the next step you will see what will be created when you confirm by clicking on the Create Cohort button

  9. The new cohort will appear on your course list
